Weight Loss Management: Exercising
We understand that not everyone has the same will to exercise or the same medical history. Depending on your childhood, early adulthood, work habits, and at-home lifestyle, your exercise routine may vary. Even if you aren’t overweight you should still exercise regularly in order to maintain a clean bill of health and prevent future diseases from developing.
At the very minimum, everyone should be doing some kind of aerobic exercise, such as jogging, at least three times a week for a period of 20 minutes per session. Whether you go for a jog around the neighborhood or you hit the treadmill at your gym doesn’t matter as long as you meet those weekly goals.
Playing sports is a great way to get aerobic exercise as well. If you are attempting to lose weight, then you should do additional exercise. Even moderate exercise, such as walking every day for fifteen minutes, can be extremely beneficial.
Walking a mile a day can burn as much as 100 calories a day, which can add up to roughly 10 pounds of weight loss over the year. Try to incorporate more walking into your lifestyle by taking the stairs instead of the elevator and parking further away from the store so that you have to walk a longer distance. You may want to consider other forms of exercise as well, such as yoga or weight training.
Dr. Enelow will create a personalized exercise plan to help you lose weight in a healthy and safe manner, never jeopardizing your health or recommending ineffective methods such as weight loss pills.

Manage Your Weight With a Regulated Diet
The first thing you need to do is cut out foods that are terrible for your health, such as highly processed foods and junk foods that contain a lot of sugar. If you tend to snack on junk food a lot, replace it with healthier alternatives, such as fruits or trail mix.
Make sure that when you are eating full meals that they are balanced, meaning that you include a larger portion of fruits and vegetables. If you are substantially over weight, then you are going to have to cut down on how much you eat. This can be quite difficult since you will be having to battle feelings of hunger more often.
To help combat this, begin eating foods with lots of fiber, such as whole grains, beans, nuts, and fruits like bananas. Fiber will help you to feel fuller, allowing you to go longer without feeling the need to eat.
